Coach Brian

DSC_0507.JPG.jpg

Brian's athletic career started in 2001 with Tae Kwon Do, but he didn't start running until middle school in 2006. After receiving his black belt and helping as an assistant instructor for his Tae Kwon Do class, Brian decided to put all his efforts towards running.

A product of 2ndWind's youth group (2010-2013), Coach Brian attributes much of his success to the confidence and knowledge he gained while improving his fitness and technique with 2ndWind. Aside from competing, Brian has always loved watching his friends and teammates improve while having fun at the same time. Now he's back with 2ndWind to help our athletes do just that.

In 2014, Brian rejoined the team as an assistant coach while attending college at DVC before transferring to Sacramento State, where he got his Bachelor's in Exercise Science, specializing in Health Fitness and Strength & Conditioning. During this time, Brian also coached cross-country and track at Hart Middle School and The Athenian School, respectively.

After graduating, he began volunteering as a CYO track coach for St. Isidore and St. Joan of Arc, and started his second career (or side hustle as he likes to call it) as a P.E. teacher, instructing grades K-8.
